Unlocking Wellness: What is Reiki and How does it work?

Reiki is an ancient Japanese practice that works with the body's life force energy. This energy is both in and around us--connecting us with each other and all things imaginable. It abides by the law of free will and works with your energy centers to open and release all that no longer serves you. Reiki can be subtle or profound, but no matter what, it is always exactly what you need in your now moment.

In today's fast-paced world we get caught up in the day-to-day. We push down our feelings. Suppress our needs. All with the intent to move forward, be productive and retain relationships. While this is a sensible short-term solution these unprocessed emotions and needs are still there. Waiting. Waiting for the moment to be felt. Waiting for that moment when they can leave; it is in that moment you walk into your power.

When you no longer carry anger within you, anger does not awaken. When you let feelings of sadness, shame, or abandonment flow, they do not rise up again. When your essence is one of love and light you attract and ignite the same around you. This is the very basis for Reiki Energy work. A skilled Reiki Practitioner connects to your energy on the quantum level using sacred geometric symbols to elicit movement within these stagnant energy systems. These are referred to as blocks.

Energetic blocks occur along meridians and within organ systems. Each system and each meridian carries a preordained energetic pulse that is committed to helping you process specific energies during your lifetime. As you decide to ignore these feelings your energy centers hold onto them for you. For your benefit. Your body is always working for your benefit. It holds these energies like a spiders web. As you encounter an emotion it is up to you to decide how you will deal with it. This is the law of free will. If you choose to ignore or suppress they will remain a part of you until you decide to feel and release. As these blocks are asked to release one must allow them to flow. Some blocks are readily released and others release in layers.

As blockages are released the energetic pulse enhances. Often it is described as feeling 'lighter' or 'reborn'. Some physical symptoms can resolve as the affected organ system is lightened and enhanced. Traumas that once defined you no longer hold space in your now moments--they are gone, anchored in your past.

Reiki complements conventional medical treatments because it promotes relaxation by stimulating your Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS). When the PNS is active you are in a state of healing. While Reiki is not a substitute for medical care, it can be a valuable adjunct therapy that supports the body's natural mechanisms for health and wellness. Many patients undergoing medical treatments such as chemotherapy or surgery find that Reiki helps alleviate side effects, promotes faster recovery, and enhances overall well-being. Because Reiki works on the quantum level, and is light force energy, it can be done both in-person or at a distance which makes this therapy ideal if you are confined to a bed or limited in abilities or time.

Reiki is a versatile practice that is specific to every individuals needs. Whether you're seeking relief from physical pain, emotional distress, or simply looking to enhance your overall wellness. Reiki Energy adapts to you and flows right where you need it most--it is never wasted.

By promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and restoring energetic pulse, Reiki has the potential to unlock a profound sense of well-being and vitality wherever you are. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or new to the practice, incorporating Reiki into your wellness routine can be a transformative journey towards optimal health and happiness as you walk into your power.
